Mana Pots And You

Now, like me, you may have seen the mana potions and said 'ooooooh, there's the catch'. Well, it's only half right. Sure, the pots take real world cash and sure, they'll make or break combat at times, but here's the good part: they're not restricted to paying customers. This game is no Nexon or Zynga product; you'll gain pots at a steady rate whether you pay or not. They'll drop from both randomly generated quests and also just from capturing spirits, to the point when you can gain about 10ish a day without really trying. Use them at your leisure to keep playing in a long chain or save them up for that new avatar, the choice is yours. The important thing is knowing that you have that choice.

Yeah it's frustrating when the ONLY way to get further ahead in a game is to break down and make a purchase. I like having the option to take my time and earn it myself, or buy it if I really want to.

Some games make you watch promotional videos to earn the credits or whatever; you can't really earn them in game. So annoying.

I agree that Grey Area have made the right decision. I happen to be someone with a bit of disposable income that I'm willing to spend on mana, but I am pleased team-mates and opponents who don't want to spend money aren't disadvantaged.

They are at a huge disadvantage, but they can still enjoy the game.
With unlimited mana, you get your silver realm (100+ energy a harvest) and you have full mana for attacks (whatever kind of attack that is) roughly every 15-30 seconds (the delay between using pots).
Without unlimited mana, you have your normal realm which gives 60 energy or much less (if you live in a sparse area) and full mana every 3-5 minutes depending. (300 energy per minute recharge is the max recharge rate)
So, sure you can play - you can even do well. But you can do much better with unlimited mana, which isn't going to happen at 10 pots a day

Correction, Silver level is 500 mana and at that level it gives +2 harvest.
The 100+ harvests is when your team controls arount 10:ish gateways in around you and that is nothing to do with mana purchases.

I've actually found it quite rare to get mana pots simply by capturing a spirit. It hardly ever happens.

Level 15 mage, 6 doms. 6 doms on 6 GWs, silver level. That's gonna be what, 14 each? 16? That's 84+ per harvest. No advantage there
