i fear a lo of imparity.. now at least ppl take one or the other.. which is closely 50% chance.. if ppl play and notice the public comm is dominated by one color,players might be inclined to choose that color over the other, and causing more imparity..
also one can look in their surroundings and base their side on that.. which will make cities go to either one of the sides, instead of a mix which should be more likely if ppl choose at the beginning..
a sollution would be to have both sides totally hidden from the new players so they wouldnt know a side yet..
but the idea could be interesting if given more thought and putting all pro's and cons on a sheet of paper

Axlar, is that worse than a lvl1 spawning in a green city and quitting shortly after because they couldn't do anything?

honor, i am still in favor of not only the mage himself but also his doms to be protected until level 6 so he can check out the game without loosing everything overnight when hes located in an enemy stronghold, also he could use those levels to discuss a truce with the ones directly around him.
