Color Variation

This is a little embarrassing, but I just wanted to note that I'm slightly red/green colorblind and, most of the time it doesn't effect me...but it's really confusing me on the missions in the game.

To clarify: It's very difficult for me to tell on the actual mission 'briefing' the diference between red and green. I d not seem to have the problem of discernment when trying to actually capture.

Thanks for the comment Rook. Indeed, the current design is not very friendly towards the color-blind. I'll forward your comment to our graphics crew, maybe they can put some non-color differentiators on them as well.

When you target Spirits, you can see whether they are Fire, Water or Earth Spirits, but Mission briefings don't indicate that.

I'll second the OP. Some overall refinement of the game would be appreciated to assist those of us with this issue.

i am mildly red/green colorblind as well. i have only noticed it once or twice in my life. like in this one game i played, 'Sniper: Ghost Warrior' on the 360. for several missions, i was under the impression that enemies just didnt show up on the mini map. turns out they do, and to anyone else, they are blatently obvious, red on green. however, i could only see them at certain times if the green terrain on the mini map was certain shades, and even then i would have to ask someone else to be sure. other than that, and taking a colorblind test (which i abysmally fail), i wouldnt even know. it hasnt ever been a problem.

anyways, although i dont have any issues, i can see how Rook is having problems. if his problem is only really in the mission briefing, then it probably has to do with the glass orb look. in world, its easier to tell the difference, but they are still somewhat similar. since they are faded shades, and the green is more lime, they almost feel like different shades of the same color. the closer they are, the more they blend together, but thats partly because when they are right beneath you, they are all almost white. at those times, i can sometimes be unsure of the color at a glance, even with blue.

EDIT: because of this thread, i went and took another online color blindness test and remembered something odd. for those of you who havent taken one, you are shown a circular card filled with small dots, of varying colors/shades. you are supposed to see a number if you have normal sight. anyways, i dont see numbers on any of them, except on a couple, and only after finding out what number its supposed to be, and looking really hard. the weird part of it is that if i look around at the individual dots, i see all the different colors, and they are discernibly different, and can usually see what color the number is supposed to be. yet i am somehow unable to see the whole shape that they make when i look at the whole card.
