The concept of this game sounds really cool and I understand it's multiplayer oriented. However, I guess no one in my area plays because I just sit there looking at a totally blank map. Try to trace a Z (like the game says) and I just get an error saying invalid target for a war chant. There's nothing to tap on the screen. There's some colored splotches that look sort of like explosions, but tapping them does nothing, nor does pulling down the menu and attempting to do that Z motion over them. They're usually gone by the time I'm done with it anyway.

Since there's plenty of other people here talking about fun the game is, I must be doing something wrong. What am I missing/doing wrong here?

Sounds to me like your device is having issues finding your location. Did you deny it access to Location Services when you first opened it?

Er, I shouldn't have said "totally blank" ... I can see all the streets around here and there's an icon where I actually am. But there's nothing else going on, I just see the streets.

Yeah. Actually, I loaded it up again and they're showing up now. I think I may have found a bug of some kind, maybe? Though it'd be hard to replicate. But now everything seems to be working. There's some spirits around and I can actually play.

I had a similar problem the first time I played the game. I saw the map, my location, and nothing else. It felt pretty empty and rather lame - so much so that I almost didn't play it again. But I did, and everything worked fine. I think it's something to do with the tutorial not firing as reliably as it could, or something to that effect.
