+1. To go from chat straight to someones beacon would make helping your friends easier.

I like this idea except that it would reduce the use of cloud view (cv). I think that cv is awesome when it's fast. If there was a link to the bcn from the friend view that put you in cv and selected the cv bcn, then that would be sweet.

This idea would fix the current crippling beacon problem. Just click on a person's name and look at their beacon list on the character card. Very elegant and high-performance solution.

Not only could this possibly fix the lag problem and restore our global access, I personally think this is BETTER than the list anyway. It's so annoying to try to find another mage's beacon only to finally find it and warp in after the action is already over. This would make easy, instant access to beacons.
