The new app is too big! I can't download it.

Hey all -

I can't download the new app through AT&T's 3G network as it's 20.1 MB, just over the 20MB limit for the iPhone. I don't have internet access at home right now (we're working on fixing that, but for now it's a bust), so iTunes is out. I tried using the free wifi area at Rockefeller Center, but for some reason it's not working.

In the future, is it possible to keep the app size down to 20MB? Also, what can I do to get my favorite game back on my phone?

More content means larger file size; that really can't be helped. It's just going to continue growing, it's unfortunate that you're unable to download the latest version though. Lots of places have WiFi though, surely you could find somewhere x.x Even McDonalds usually has free WiFi now.

Thanks Seil - I'll try a few more free WiFi spots until we get the internet up and running again at home.

Also try local libraries. They usually have free wifi if you show your ID (or your library card).

Libraries in my area are free, period, and it's a faster connection than MickeyD's or Starbucks. Most of Simon's malls have free public wifi, too, though it's not exactly 'broadband' type speed.

Good suggestions, all - thanks for the tips. It's been less than 24 hours since I haven't had it, and I'm going crazy, lol. :-)
