comicy kate great points. I agree on East river for Architects and Hudson for Animators as making the most sense. I think that we can't totally prevent people from beaconing in Manhattan prior to the event -- not all BG members read chat, there will be new, young members who are clueless, and outside people who don't know about the event may beacon up for spiders, ghosts, etc. but we can do the main thing: ensure the flags are fairly placed. Then it's a battle royale! Codex, if you see this can you sign in AnimatorFlag (don't know your email) and post here?

Guys: on the Animators forum there was a suggestion we create a separate rules thread. I think we should use this space to discuss proposed rules and then once mutually agreed-upon post them to that thread so there's a separate dispute-free place where people just have the rules. thoughts?

The rules I see so far are good. The time limit, based on the central park event, ought to be one and one half hours.

The thought is that everyone will add ArchitectFlag as a friend, and then will warp to the beacon before the start. We will then depower the bcn and go. so people will start by their flags. then people can set up crazy defenses and attacks and whatnot
This is vulnerable to spoofers dropping in, but hopefully it will work. If we get a good response, the beacons will be quite nicely and creative guarded.
I think the flags should be just out of view of the gateways, so that a little leapfroggin is required. whatever it is, we will make sure they they are even for both teams, both healed up the same and what not.
We're going with 5 beacons as flags, right? You can't cast 5 beacons at once without unpowering all of them. I'm just trying to make sure, aren't those beacons being placed 2 hours ahead of time? That means there's no way you can use ArchitectFlag's beacons to bring people in when it's time to start.
