Spider's Profile

The original list for this was created by Tassidar4 and I give all credit for this compilation to this mage. I make this in dedication to Tassidar4, and to help others get a improved list of information on the spider.

Profile of Spiders

1. Spiders have infinite mana.

2. When the spider has sunk into the ground, with legs moving, it will deflect all war chants, and will heal itself. (Note: I am unsure, but I do not think it heals exactly the same. I have observed instances of one mage hitting it and it gaining 1000+. This could have been from lag.) You will now when he is deflecting because on your screen in blue it will say “Arachne Weaver cuts into the fabric of reality,” or something to that affect.

3. Spiders will sometimes summon a large area of glittering red and yellow “sand.” If you are on this, immediately move out of the circle, or you will be drained continuously, and heal spider.

4. Being banished by a “drain circle,” banished you above area, but not to home. If you are banished by the “drain circle,” you should wait till you have enough health to survive one of two drains, because it might not have left.

5. Do not cast catchers near the spider, it will take control of them. This has been proven. It is said that they turn red.

6. When the spider is floating in the air, with it’s crazy legs, it will spawn multitudes of spirits. These spirits range in five ways. They range in health, rarity, element, strength, and docility. (Sometimes they spawn an air, but this is unconfirmed) (Also, when there get to many spirits, don’t just attack them to find spider. When spider rises you can target it. Chances are that if you can’t see it, that means its in “deflect mode.”)

7. Do not summon beacons near the spider. Always summon beacons out of spider’s sight, unless it is sleeping and you need set up for the far beacon. If the beacon starts to glow red, destroy it. If a spider eats a beacon, it gains 1000 health. They do not “eat any other structures.” The myth that they destroy dominators is false. To help spread you out, and get you to spider, wards make great stepping stones.

8. It apparently loses health slowly if it is walking around. From what I have seen, this is also a myth.

9. It can destroy beacons in dormant state. In my experience, this is a myth. I do not have enough “sleeping encounters” to know if it truly is though. Will be updated if confirmed.

10. It has a critical that deals 1000+ damage. Always heal if you are hit, to avoid being banished instantly by this monster critical. (If you have under 1000 health, just attack.)

Additional Information

This information is based off my own data, and some additions I have made

1. The spider does in fact possess a natural regeneration rate. It is hard to obtain accurate data, but I have had 2 instances where I have obtained accurate NO-LAG data. From what I have seen, it heals around 700. The time span, I do not remember as well, but believe it was around 5-15 seconds.

2. Not much data has been accurately receive about the alleged “spider fang mark,” but I have compiled data I have found out about it.

a. It is said that the fang mark increases your chances of being hit by the spider, and of that hit being a critical. From the many instances that I have observed myself having this mark, I find this to be true.

b. It is also said that this fang mark makes you a target for the spider’s aggressive spirits. I do not have enough data about this to make accurate statement, but in my experience, about half/half.

c. In my experience, this mark appears when you are close to the spider and stays. I do not know how long the mark lasts, or what leads to it's disappearance, besides death of spider.

3. Tip 1: When the spider goes into deflect mode, try targeting the aggressive spirits and killing them off. This lets more mages live, and will help you take spider down faster when it comes up.

Plus, if you are being atacked by anything, warp to a gw away from the spirits near. Then warp back to it. Once you reward, there won't be anything attacking you anymore. Additionally, you might not need to attack anymore, since you will still gain the rewards upon the death of the Arachne Weaver.

"You will now when he is deflecting because on your screen in blue it will say “Arachne Weaver cuts into the fabric of reality,” or something to that affect."

The spider can also go into "deflect mode" in normal combat.

Also, I have seen it "cut into the fabric of reality" while it was lying on the ground before...but only once. Not sure if it was lag.

I think I just got the Spider Fang mark. I was near the spider fighting then I realized I had a crescent moon shape on my mage. But I didn't notice any special effect... I did get attacked in rapid succession (about 150 damage each time) until I was banished but I'm not sure of that was the spirits the spider summoned.
