Rhode Island Architects haven't won a campaign since summer... but you know what? I'd rather lose every time and still have the tight-knit community we've developed.
I hope this change really is ONLY for this campaign... because it gets a big DISLIKE from me.

A thought from me that came up last night. I am (was?) looking forward to participating in alternative BGs during the holiday season as I travel. With Uber BGs this option is gone - this feeds into the historic (and advertised) location based game play of SC.
While I do not travel as much as I once did I realized that with the combined BGs in the US I will have to travel internationally to experience truly different/new BGs. This would be... unfortunate.

That's a compelling argument for this setup Godu. One of the few I've heard. Do it during periods of high travel.

That's actually an argument against. It's FUN to travel to another battlegroup for a round or two. I've been to IL, NC, CO, CA-1, and (accidentally due to how iPads do location) GA. It was really neat to see how other BGs do things and meet the people. There were occasionally culture clashes (how was I to know there's a truce around the Chicago Loop) but it was a lot of fun.
And with US-wide battlegroups, most US players will never get to do that. Because most Americans don't travel outside the US very much. (I do, but the country I spend the most time in outside the US is India, which doesn't have Shadow Cities yet.)
This is another thing I think the European developers fail to understand.
