It's not so much the size of the BG that sucks, it's the lack of competition. If keiri's map has a better energy distribution, I think it is superior. However, my big beef is the complete lack of competition on a pvp game.

Like it for a round or two. So many I know have quit the game. They enjoy the state rivalry. Who wants tow irk your tail off for 15000 energy, only to finish 20th and gain 5 pots. It loses it's unique dynamic.

GA is not listening. All I have heard is cherry-picked comments from Khamos about how 'great' it is to meet new friends and how 'exciting' the new BG format is. But, for who, exactly?
If you really care about your players, why don't you take a poll to see how people really feel about this new system and what tweaks need to be made in order for gameplay to become more enjoyable.

I simply fail to see the problem with the old state-battlegroup system. I have to tell ya that I care about this game FAR LESS now that I am participating in a regional battlegroup. The chat moves quickly since there are so many more participants, and I simply no longer bother trying to take part.
The social element of the game that I enjoyed is now gone. I occasionally, and without any passion, log in and harvest some energy... and then ask myself why I still bother to play?

Just a bump to say this is probably my last round if we are stuck with the horrible M&M bg.
I miss playing with a local community of players. Knowing the folks I played with made this game what it was and now that is gone for the most part.
