I think there's a simple solution to this that should please most parties. Simply have it as an option to set the blurb to something similar to this:

"Male Acolyte (Level 4)"
"Female Acolyte (Level 4)"
And for those who choose not to select a gender, simply have it the same as always:
"Awakened (Level 15)"

EDIT: Actually, gender is already listed on the forums if the player picks one. So you could always just check there.

Yes. In other words, this entire discussion is pointless, because GA already gives players the option to specify gender, and people who care can look on this very website to see whether the player did.

I thought this thread was listed with regard to the beautiful avatars that have been designed?
If my suspicions are correct then the ability to select through male, female, to an asexual being or other sexually irrelevant graphics?
I'd steer clear of completely free reign user avatars as this will bring the added work load of regulating content.
But maybe competitions for art to be approved?
I assumed the avatars were for an IPad version of the app, also the production of VfW shows that graphics isn't beyond the expertise of GA.

Seldon, yes you can CHECK, but like you said, they didn't necessarily put it. They have no idea.

I know I shouldn't ask, but what does "some kind of absolute gender clarification" mean? Players will have to verify their gender identity with Grey Area in some way? They'll need a note from a psychologist stating what their actual self-identified gender is? Or are you old-school and just hope that Grey Area will send Chad around to everyone's house to pants them?
