Why I don't tolerate cheating.

I also want to make a point regularly overlooked by most players.
Cheating involves deception by definition. Look it up. By definition, legitimate tactics such as placing hidden beacons or keeping a mage busy in chat while you set up to raid them are cheating. While there are forms of cheating that ALSO violate TOS, not all cheating is illegal or (for game purposes) immoral.
Sun Tzu (author of The Art of War) taught that successful war always involves deception, and wrote several passages detailing how to use deception to advantage. Since tactics by definition involve unfair advantage, it seems cheating is part of war. (Again, look up tactics.)
The Art of War is the most widely read tactical manual on the planet. Top officer academies require its study. Contemporary tactical manuals (which improve or trump Sun Tzu's) use deception as well.
So, the next time you get angry and are about to accuse a player of cheating - as often happens with little evidence - consider: are you using the language properly? Is the cheating in question an illegal action and not just strong tactics? If not, you are contributing to a problem rather than solving it.
Know what you are saying and the consequences involved before opening your mouth please (or text as the case may be). If you start calling people out based on ignorance, you just make yourself look bad and contribute to a negative social environment.
Seriously folks, the finger pointing, witch hunts and slander are unethical in most cases and serve to drive good players - good ethical people - away from the game into quitting. If you value ethical play, then set a good example by acting ethically.
