Increase the harvest range in areas with lower gateway density. It won't help players with absoltely no gateways around, but it will help some who might be able to find a gateway that is currently too far to harvest.

I can't see that happening. You should be able to harvest from any gateways in your cloud view at your spawn. If you do not have any in CV near where you log in, you can request a GW placement via the bug report system, This is, however, considered "low-priority", and no new GWs have been added in nearly a year.

Agreed. I wish the structure spells could be improved as well (stack dominator and harvest bonus).

Um, you can always spoof and find a gateway you like. That is an easy solution to the complex problem you have described.
