What if spirits rarely dropped gems you could equip to improve crit chance or spell power. Maybe even a small bonus to energy or xp collected. It would mean implementing an inventory system but that could help with stopping me from accidentally using mana potions if setup how I'm thinking. Feedback?

Yes, taht'd be nice in some cases.

1) the drop should be EXTREMELY rare and limited like only a few drops a day for the whole battle group.
2) the GEM that is equipped should be for that period of campaign so the benefit would not be permanent but of a reward for the constant effort for the team

If items are introduced, maybe there can also be some sort of reward for the top player on both teams as well, or maybe just the losing team. Some little award that would last for the next campaign, or the next round...

I could see that. Maybe 3 or 5 per campaign and once it's over it's depleted and maybe moved somewhere like the medals pane to show off gems you've received

Elemental gems. Add an elemental effect to your war chant while equipped, giving you an advantage/disadvantage to certain spirits rock/paper/scissors style

I like that one too! Speaking of, does changing the type of Mage you are do anything? Like does a fire Mage hit harder and a frost take less damage or something?

What about being able to trade items with friends? It would support teamwork! And you could then have community games for prizes like "name that tune"!
