Baldr's Bonfire

Shouldn't be too hard to get a percentage based on damage inflicted, then from that % give a % against amount healed. That way it's always based on merit.

My question is how could you implement this in a pvp environment?
Mechanically, the list would work in PvP exactly like it would in PvE, by keeping track of who was involved in any particular engagement. The only difference would be that PvP opponents aren't picking their targets according to it.

Baldr's Bonfires are now irrelevant.
when they were worth 150 energy (and who knows how much EXP because i've been languishing at level 15 for so long i almost forgot EXP existed) they were totally worth it. i'd happily drop 2-3 mana potions on them in order to get ahead. when they dropped to 50, i was still in because they were a challenge and still a hefty chunk of energy, especially if you're duking it out for first or second place.
since they've only been worth 25, i've only gone after them with close friends. we start casting at the same time, and it's anyones guess as to who will get the points. nobody spends mana on them, and there are no hard feelings when someone loses out on it. that coupled with this mornings mana reward reduction, i can't see myself making any special effort to go after them. they just aren't worth it, especially when i can get 30 energy from catching 2 koscheis instead.

I know this is a bit of derailment...
I get the desire to disrupt efficient harvesting, but a 20k beacon is nearly impossible to also disrupt while attempting to defend your base. In effect the battle command beacons all but give the attacking group free reign and energy.
No one has to defend their dominators to keep it the command beacon online. The defenders are forced to either dismantle their base, spend mana on attacking the attackers or spend mana on trying to peck away at an extremely over powered beacon. An easy fight it is not. Especially since the attacking side is given a message and a beacon and they are able to zerg the defenses.
In all honesty what seems to me would be a fair exchange for a free on target beacon would be that it has to be tied to a power source and that the opposing team can attack the power source at the same time. Or give the defenders a reward for defending their bases and domains. Because there's no reward for defending other than having to spend more mana and time to rebuild and repair. Unless I'm misunderstanding the mechanics in place that is.

Battlegroup Beacons are intended to counterbalance efficient Harvesting, not to boost it further. That's why there is currently no real reward for destroying those Beacons. That said, sometimes the target of the Beacon actually does benefit, because it's easy to fight back if you are prepared to fight with Catchers and Wards.

I suggest Air as the name for this hypothetical new elemental spirit house.

A Bonfire (Baldr's Bonfire) is a rare fire Tiermes with 3000 hp that gives 25 energy and I believe 500 xp per capture.

It is easier to tag team it. While one person heals the other keeps it busy and on site.

They are basically worthless now. I miss the good old days of mass beacon drops whenever we found one.
