Player Polled Suggestion: Chat Status Icon & Mage Profile Including BattleGroup information.

Asking a few frineds after finding the need to know what the Chat Stats Icon was indicating (so you know if you want to read or pass for a while) and then also finding it helpful to know where you're friends are located; thus a indicatioin of a Mage's BattleGroup affiliation on their Profile.
I've posted and addition to the Chat Status Icon in the Tech forum and now here as well.
So to sum up:
Players polled over the last few days would find the following helpful!
1) The Chats Status Icon generically displaying what it's alerting you about (BattleGroup Team Chat, Cross Team Chat, & Status Update "Chat")
2) Mage Profile to include BattleGroup Affiliation and if possible some other stats that would be helpful in determining how best to use them in a group battle environment!

Maybe include a settings tab where individual chat channel updates can be switched on and off?
Like: Team - on, cross team - on, status - off
Sidenote: currently status updates of muted players are still displayed. Very annoying, especially if those were the reason for muting him in the first place.

What I'd like to see is an option to have BG chat displayed directly on the screen - perhaps at the top, directly below the rune pulldown - with perhaps enough space to show two lines of text that gradually scroll up off the top of the screen, a bit like the status messages that are sometimes displayed at the bottom of the screen.
This would negate the need to keep popping into chat to see who's said what (and whether or not it was worth the bother!), reducing the need to drop into chat only if you want to post something.
If this could be configurable - perhaps even to specifying how many lines of text you'd like reserved for the chat text - it would be great.
