Does a mage have to be a certain lvl in order to be a guide? My friend is lvl 14 and it won't let me name them as my Guide.

I've had some people tell me they are having that problem as well. They get an "invalid mage" error. They try my name multiple times with proper capitalization and it fails. One of these players tried a different mage and it worked (after filing repeatedly with mine). A different player couldn't get it to work for any mage name he tried. Not sure what's up but it seems random and possibly not just user error.

Hi,

When choosing a Guide, please be aware that certain restrictions exist to prevent undesirable behavior. Most notably you cannot:
• Name yourself as a Guide
• Name another account created by you as a Guide
• Name a Guide using the same device too many times (from any account)
• Name a Guide of an account that was created too recently

Please be sure that none of these conditions are occurring, and if you still cannot name a guide please reply back to this ticket so that we may investigate further!

Unfortunately, none of these apply to my situation. Glitch? I'm no expert, but hopefully it's something small that has yet to surface to the Devs.

Khamos, as the field is case sensitive.. could there be a (lets call him: moron) who signs up using my name without the capital A?

That would end up being very confusing! Just imagine someone signing up as khamos, bigtail and gabriel and all other "big names" and just acting like "morons"

I guess until someone intellectual giant comes along and is able to explain this better, I'm doomed to remain a "Moron".

Dick, are you running version 1.1.4 ? ive heard people who werent running the latest version to not being able to put in the name. Also im not sure if a lvl 9 mage is able to follow someone! judging by your symbol you already are a guide yourself, you might be a too high level of mage to follow someone. As noted in a different topic it said that there might be a bug with that mission for not being able to complete it once you reach a certain level.
